The Transit-Oriented District (TOD) Toolkit (formerly known as TOD Guidelines) provides a framework for a consistent approach to public infrastructure and transportation-related improvements to support land-use decisions in the ½ mile radii around 10 transit future stations. The Toolkit includes design guidelines along with prototypical building types and public realm improvements. The guidelines serve as a boiler-plate for developing future specific plans around these transit station areas. The Toolkit helps ensure public infrastructure improvements support land use plans by facilitating both public and private investment in affordable housing and transit-friendly development.

For this project Kamille developed a classification system for the station areas to group similar guidelines and apply them where they were the most contextually appropriate. Kamille was a key participant in the community outreach meetings and developed the draft and final toolkit report.
