The Mission District is the epicenter San Gabriel’s historic character, but it won’t become a vibrant downtown corridor until it has amenities that routinely draw visitors from both in and out of town. THE ORCHARD INN will foster meaningful partnerships with Mission District stakeholders to offer visitors a diverse dining experience and provide much-needed lodging services for overnight guests. The inn will replace the Playhouse’s underutilized parking lot with a 10-vendor food hall, 18 spacious guestrooms, and a public orchard to activate Mission Drive and enliven the district as a whole.
Kamille developed the concept plan and renderings for a conceptual mixed-use project to replace the then-vacant Mason Lodge building adjacent to the historic San Gabriel Playhouse.
